What is kept, why, and how to have it removed.

This is a one-teacher practice, so the answer is short: only what is needed to teach you and to take payment, held no longer than it has to be.

01

What is collected

When you ask for a trial class: your name, email address, country and time zone, your level, and what you want to work on. When you hold an account: the same, plus your bookings, your class balance, and the lesson notes written for you.

When you buy anything: the email address used at checkout, the item bought, the amount and the payment reference. Card numbers are never seen by this site — they go straight to the payment provider.

Buying a book does not create an account. In that case only the purchase email, the item and the payment reference are held.

02

Why it is held

To teach you: to schedule classes in the right time zone, to send confirmations and reminders, and to write and keep your corrections and homework.

To run the practice: to take payment, to issue receipts and downloads, to answer your messages, and to keep the records a small business is required to keep.

03

Who else processes it

A hosting and database provider stores the site's data; a payment provider takes payments and holds card details; an email provider delivers confirmations, reminders and letters; a video provider carries the live class.

These providers act on instructions only. Your details are never sold, rented, or used for advertising, and nothing is shared with other learners beyond the first name you use in a circle.

04

Classes and recordings

Classes are not recorded unless you agree in advance. The class chat panel is used by Abby to type corrections live; that text is saved to your lesson notes so you receive it in writing.

Notes are visible to you and to Abby, and to nobody else.

05

How long it is kept

Your account, bookings and lesson notes are kept while your account is open and for 12 months after your last class, so a returning learner does not start from nothing.

Payment and purchase records are kept for seven years because tax rules require it. Trial requests that never become accounts are deleted after 12 months.

06

Your choices

You can ask for a copy of what is held about you, ask for a correction, or ask for deletion of everything that is not a required financial record. Requests are handled within 30 days.

Reminder and letter emails relate to classes you have booked, so they are not marketing; there is no newsletter and no promotional list to leave.

07

Security and cookies

Access to learner data is restricted to the account owner and to Abby, enforced by the database itself rather than by the interface alone. Passwords are stored only as hashes and are checked against known breached-password lists.

The site sets only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to complete a payment. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.

08

Children

Accounts are for adults. Children's stories are sold to adults, and where a child attends a class the booking adult remains responsible for it and for any details shared.
