Code of conduct
Plain rules, so the hour stays good for both of us.
You accept this when you create an account. It is short on purpose — every line here exists because it protects the quality of the hour you are paying for.

Sessions are not recorded
No lesson or conversation is recorded, by me or by you. The corrections chat inside the room is kept, because it becomes the first draft of your written letter — nothing else from the hour is stored.

I may end a session
I will end a session immediately if it becomes abusive, sexual, or threatening. In those cases the session is treated as taught and no refund is given. This is the only circumstance in which I end an hour early.

Contact stays on the platform
All arranging, rescheduling and messaging happens through this site and the email address you signed up with. Please do not ask for my personal phone number, private social accounts, or home address, and I will not ask for yours.

No personal contact details
Requests for personal contact details — mine or another student's — will be declined. Circle members should not be contacted privately off the back of a session.

Conversation is not therapy
I am a language teacher, not a clinician. I will gladly keep talking with you through a hard period, and I will gladly help you find a qualified person, but the hour is conversation and nothing more. If you are in crisis, please see the short page on where to find help.

Not a dating or companionship service
Any booking that turns in that direction will be ended and refunded, and the account will not be able to book again.

Payments
Class and conversation payments are non-refundable once the session has been taught, or within twelve hours of its start time. Monthly plans can be stopped at any point and simply do not renew.
